Now entering its twenty-fifth year, the NFL Alumni Charity Golf Classic has taken its place among the most successful, longest running charity events in central Ohio. Pairing amateurs with a field of accomplished veterans of the National Football League, the event delivers a unique experience for participants. Most importantly, the event has raised more than $1 million for local charities in its history.
This year’s event will be hosted by New Albany Country Club. NACC boats a Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course and some of the finest clubhouse and practice facilities in central Ohio. The tournament will be contested as a five-player team scramble. Special NFL Alumni tournament scoring rules penalize teams having more than one “A” player (0-8 handicap) and/or more than two “B” players (9-16 handicap) and multiplying that number by 35 percent. The winning team will receive an expense paid trip to the 2013 Super Bowl of Golf!
